Is there any truth in the wives tale that girls should not sit on cold floors because they can get infections?

My fiance believes that girls should never sit on cold floors, such as hard wood or tile. She believes that they should always sit on a cushion or something. She believes that a woman or girl, sitting on a hard, cold floor will get an infection (or some unspecified ailment) in their private area. Is there ANY truth to this? It sounds silly to me. We live in florida and have all tile floors. I believe that there is absolutely no truth to this. Who is right?
