Help caring for orphaned kitten please?

I have a 3 day old orphaned kitten. He is active and feeding on KMR. (kitten formula). He is the only survivor of 3. How long before I can feel comfortable that he is "out of the woods"? I am keeping warm water bottles in his box and "helping" him go poop and pee. Thanks.
