My dog ignores me on walks?

i had that problem with my dog and what i did was say, "Lucky? you want a treat?" in an instant he would turn around. i continued to do that then stopped the treats. now when i call his name he turns around. if not, i will stop walking and hold the leash firmly so it will not slip out of my hand and wait until he stops too. when he does i bring a calm yet sharp voice and say "wait" he will get the hang of it and if sometimes he doesn't listen i will will say uuhp (can"t really spell it out. its like a sharp uuh (no) sound) "uuhhhpp, wait." they will get the hang of it. this was my experience. if it doesnt work then sorry. good luck!
